During their formative years establishing their special brand of New York Salsa, John “Dandy Rodriguez & his Dream Team took a trip up to Martin Cohen’s famed Congahead video recording studio in northern New Jersey in April, 2018 to record a pair of performances for the Congahead website. The band recorded live, unedited video to two classic tracks, “Voulez Vous Dancer” and “Yo Soy Congo”. The two tracks went on to achieve immediate success, having been extracted from the original videos and played by DJs at salsa events around the world.

Today, Circle 9 presents these two salsa gems as official releases under the Circle 9 Records banner. The two tracks, featuring Salsa icons Frankie Vazquez, Jeremy Bosch, and master tresero Nelson Gonzalez have been lovingly remastered by Circle 9 engineers from the original audio delivered from the Congahead sessions. These two tracks, officially comprising The Congahead Sessions EP, are guaranteed to be on “repeat” on your current playlists for months to come!
